… a Computer Science major at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar - graduated in Fall ‘25 - with concentration in Security & Privacy.
In Spring ‘24, I took an NLP course which led to work on two shared tasks (ArabicNLP ‘24 & CLEF ‘24). Following the trajectory, I joined QNRF-funded collaboration with CMUQ & QU on Automated Essay Scoring for Arabic, contributing to a new dataset (EACL ‘26).
Since Summer ‘24, I have collaborated with the Bioinformatics team at Sidra Medicine to build a full-stack application - which automates data extraction workflows and supports interactive access to genomic data & NGS metadata.
In Spring ‘25, I took a prompt engineering course and have since been exploring generative AI — from research prototypes to industry applications.
Among other things, my intellectual curiosity (currently) includes: bio-inspired ML architectures, AI for formal verification & mechanistic interpretability for LLMs.
In my downtime, I tinker with lettering or hang out in the arxiv.
